Our Villa Collection offers some of the most beautiful homes and striking settings in Punta Mita. Our experienced staff is available to care for our guests and their environments…consistently taking presentation and cleanliness to another level. During the recent viral outbreak of COVID-19, staff has been required to raise their care standards in the prevention of future outbreaks within our local community and among our treasured guests. To do this, Our Villa Collection owners and staff have been required to monitor the statements and guidelines made by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) in an effort to keep-our-doors-open for personnel and travelers, alike.

To date, Our Villa Collection has reviewed all current guidelines on maintaining appropriate hygiene and updating cleaning procedures in an effort to provide a safe and comfortable stay in each rental property. Such endeavors are meant to address the prevention of a variety of viruses, including COVID-19. Recent preventative measures include:

Healthful Living & Hygiene: A disinfecting booth is installed at the staff’s entrance to each rental property and is mandatory for use upon arrival. Staff members are required, daily, to record their body temperature and blood oxygen level. Proper hand washing techniques and requirements have been introduced and continue to be instituted in daily personnel meetings.

Cleaning Protocols and Products: Our Villa Collection has procured appropriate disinfecting products to cut the contamination of viral infection, and has stockpiled personal protective equipment (PPE) approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and by the Secretaría de Salud, Mexico’s Ministry of Health in charge of conducting state health policy.

Our staff members have been trained on antiseptic house cleaning measures and have, each, completed enhanced training on the prevention of COVID-19, both personally and professionally. A snapshot of specific cleaning procedures are outlined below:

Guest Rooms: Rooms are thoroughly disinfected following guests’ departures and remain uninhibited for 48 hours between guest visits. Particular attention is paid to high-touch items including, but not limited to, furniture and built-in surfaces, flooring, detached remote controls, light switches, door handles and faucet handles. In addition, air conditioning units are disinfected and cleaned, and ozone-based disinfectants are utilized – per guest room – for a period of 4 hours following guest habitation.

Common Areas: An increased frequency in cleaning and disinfecting common areas occurs daily, focusing on high-touch areas such as door handles, furniture, countertops and bathrooms. Sanitizing hand gel and facial tissues will be present in these higher-traffic areas at all times.

Linens: All linens, removable slip covers and common area pillow covers are exchanged and laundered between guest visits. Such linens are sanitized by in-house laundry facilities using commercial-grade equipment and high-heat.
